Bringing healthcare needs into our neighborhoods
One of the most direct and effective ways we extend critical healthcare beyond our walls and boundaries is though our Bright Futures Mobile Van, which helps low- and moderate-income families gain access to healthcare.
You/your child may use Bright Futures Mobile Van services if you need healthcare and:
- Do not have health insurance.
- Are a low- to moderate-income family.
Bright Futures - Your Family Needs Healthcare Regularly
Your child gets the following services during his/her exam:
- Health check-ups, including a physical exam, vision and hearing, blood and urine test, blood-lead testing, TB skin test, immunizations (when necessary) and dental screening.
- Medical, nutritional and developmental history.
- Other tests, as necessary.
- Health education.
- Referrals for additional medical care if needed.
Your baby should see a pediatrician or the nurse practitioner on our van at these ages:
2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 9 months,
12 months, 15 months, 18 months,
2 years, 5 years, 7 years
Adult Services available:
Physical and Cancer Screening examinations, evaluation for illness, adult immunizations.
How to find Bright Futures Mobile Van Services
The Bright Futures Mobile Van rotates among several community locations throughout the greater High Desert area.
Please call (760) 242-2311 ext. 8224 for the current schedule and service specific information. Appointments are needed for physical examinations.
All other services are provided on a walk-in basis.
First and Third Tuesdays at
